ABOUT
ME

I work with dance teachers and dance educators — people who dedicate their lives to teaching, guiding, and shaping others.

My work also extends to school teachers and education professionals who share similar responsibilities, pressures, and commitments to learning. My role is to support educators so they can teach from a place of confidence, clarity, and inner stability.

I am a ballet teacher, school director, mentor, RAD tutor, dance education researcher, and certified professional life coach. For more than three decades, I have dedicated my life not only to teaching dance, but to supporting the people who teach.

My Journey

Born in Cyprus, I discovered my passion for dance at an early age. What began as a love for dancing, evolved into a lifelong relationship with education, discipline, and personal growth. This path led me to London, where I trained at the Royal Academy of Dance, graduating from the RAD College in 1987 with the Licentiate (LRAD) and Teaching Diploma, alongside academic distinctions in Anatomy and Dance History.

I hold a Master’s degree in Dance Education, awarded by the Royal Academy of Dance and validated by the University of Bath.

My professional journey has been international. I have taught in the UK, the United States, Cyprus, and Greece, including practical teaching at RAD headquarters in London, guest teaching with the University of Nevada, Reno, and extensive work within private schools and dance institutions.

Alongside classical ballet education, I have also worked in dance and movement therapy, deepening my understanding of the connections between the body, learning, and emotional well-being.

Professional Integrity & Ongoing Development

I deeply believe in lifelong learning and model this commitment in my professional practice.

I annually renew my RAD Registered Teacher Status (RTS) by completing a minimum of 20 hours of continuing professional development, and I maintain my Universal Coaching Association (UK) accreditation through 30 hours of annual CPD.

This ongoing engagement ensures that my mentoring and coaching remain informed, ethical, and responsive to educators' evolving needs.

My Philosophy

Through all of these experiences, one theme has remained constant: Dance teachers carry a great deal of responsibility, emotion, expectation, and care. They deserve support, space, and nourishment. My coaching and mentoring work exists to provide exactly that. A calm, confidential and respectful space where dance teachers can reflect, breathe, grow, and reconnect with who they are, not only as teachers, but as people.

I believe that teaching is not only about technique or knowledge.

It is about presence, awareness, and continuous growth.

When educators feel supported and grounded, their impact extends far beyond the classroom or studio, shaping students, communities, and the future of dance education.

If you feel drawn to this work, you are warmly invited to reach out.

It would be an honour to walk beside you.

Teaching, Leadership & Teacher Development

In 2002, I founded Ballet Arts in Greece, a school operating under two of the world’s most internationally recognised dance education systems, the RAD and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD).

Over time, my work expanded beyond teaching students to supporting teachers, mentoring, guiding, and contributing to the wider dance education community.

A central part of my work is teacher development. For more than a decade, I have served as a mentor and practical teaching supervisor for the RAD Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS) programme. Today, I continue as a tutor on the new RAD Certificate in Dance Teaching programme (CDT 424).

I have served as RAD CPD Ambassador for Greece and as Vice President of the RAD Greek Committee, supporting teachers and contributing to the professional dance education landscape.

Coaching & the Human Side of Teaching

Alongside dance education, I am an accredited Life Coach with the Universal Coaching Association (UCA, UK). My coaching work supports educators and artists in developing confidence, resilience, and clarity, professionally and personally.

This dual role led to the creation of Teachers of Dance – Coaching & Mentoring, an initiative dedicated to supporting educators as individuals, not only as professionals.

Through coaching, I support educators to:

  • Strengthen confidence and presence in their teaching

  • Navigate professional challenges and transitions

  • Develop clarity in their role and direction

  • Build emotional resilience and self-trust

  • Reconnect with purpose and motivation

  • Teach from a place of calm, authority, and authenticity
